WHY UPGRADE FROM FACTORY?
The factory turbo on the Nissan TD42T and TD42TI engine is too small to efficiently flow the exhaust gases, resulting in back pressure build up in the exhaust manifold. Consequently the factory turbo is unable to deliver optimal power & torque at top end.
The brand of turbocharger used in this turbosystemis a Borg Warner (previously Schwitzer) turbocharger which has been specifically matched to the engine it is being bolted on to.
The Denco Upgrade turbo delivers up to 25% more power over the factory turbo, as it is physically larger and therefore able to effectively flow the exhaust gases efficiently without losing power at low revs.
